On July 30th the AGRI4ENERGY project hosted a webinar, aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of agrivoltaics, including project objectives, country-specific insights, legal frameworks, practical applications, and the training pills. Organized by EUDITI LTD as part of Work Package 3, the event marked an important step in shaping the project’s training content for agricultural entrepreneurs and photovoltaic system installers.

The webinar began with an overview of the State of the Art in Greece and Italy. This was followed by discussions on the legal framework of agrivoltaics in Greece and the existing challenges and prospects.

A real –life implementation of an agrivoltaic project was also presented by the Energy Community Electra Energy Cooperative. Their project is about the development of scalable urban community-based agriPV systems and business models to accelerate the energy transition and to enable the effective combination of solar energy production and food production in cities.

The event concluded with an interactive exchange between participants and experts, reflecting on the potential of agrivoltaics to enhance land use efficiency, support sustainable agriculture, and contribute to the EU’s renewable energy goals.
